My nickname is NoraLou and I just joined this group last week. Just posted for the first time today. I have recognized a few newbie mistakes before I even joined, but the chicks and I have survived so far and it has already been a month!!!!

Hope to learn so much from all of you.

Nice to meet you NoraLou have you explored the very informative Learning Center? If you would like to know what is going on around you, you can join your state thread. Just put the name in the search box and it will pop up.

Welcome, there is so much to learn here, and everyone is so helpful. What breed of chickens do you have?

I'm not sure! I do know that 2 of them are Cornish Rocks and one, I believe is a rooster. Daring. And I really, really like him. 2 are called "specialty" , brown, black and 2 are black pullets. I am trying to attach a picture, but I can't get it from my photos and the doc is too big. New computer and I do get frustrated!

Hi Nora and welcome to BYC - great to have you onboard with us.

Once your flock is 6 weeks old, you may wish to post pics of them in the "what breed or gender is this?" forum to find out what you have.

    All the best
