    Hi, I'm Ersula!
We don't even have any chickens yet! My husband and I have been stalking the site for coop deigns that we like and I've been lurking around the forums for a few days. I feel so blessed to have found this place and all the wonderful people, pictures and information! So cool!

Thank you so much for all the welcome love! We live in the Western Mountains region of Maine, but I'm from central New York. We hope our chickens will be the start of a small farm to help us be self sufficient!

    I think we'll have:

    Silver Laced Wyandotte
    Black Australorp
Ameraucana (Or EE's, I'm not too picky as it's our first go)

    That's what I would like anyways =]

Any thoughts on those as our starter birds?
