well, my cockerel is staying out tonight, every time I go out to get him he disappears into the grass and I can’t find him, we have stray cats, dogs and a couple foxes but not many.

Hope that he survived the night. Are there other birds in the flock that have been intimidating/attacking him?
Nope, not at all, all my chickens are still in separate flocks, then hens in one and the CM mixes in the Other, I managed to catch him and get him into the hen house, he still hasn’t been able to get
On the barn door and fence and I really don’t want to loose him, we do know which cockerel we’re getting if we do tho

I agree with @sourland most likely he is being bullied at roosting time. You might go out a bit before roosting and get him in the coop. Watch what is going on with the dynamics of the flock, its not safe to roost outside. Handsome boy! 💗
They all have different roosting spots, Cowboy is just to small to t up on them, the younger hens have the top door and my older hen has the bottom door, there are four doors with a plank of wood blocking off between them and a ton of fences, he’s actually the only one my hens won’t peck at, I think they might know he’ll end up the dominant one
