Hello! My first post and it’s about my rooster. He has been high-stepping for a few days. Kind of shaking his head a bit I’m just acting a little off. It has been colder here down in the 20s but they have a heating lamp in their coop for when it gets too cold. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be, I posted pics of his feet below.

How old is your rooster? His legs have nice pink streaks which is a sign of fertility in some leg colors. I can’t see any leg mite damage with raised scales. Scaly leg mites can cause raising legs. Was he vaccinated for Mareks disease? I would look him over for any evidence of mites or lice on his skin, under his vent and belly, and around his neck and wings. He might just be raising his legs because of the cold ground, but keep investigating it.

Hello! He is a about 8/9 months old. We ordered him and he was vaccinated. I’m sure that was included but can’t fully remember.
