New to BYC and just getting started with my own little flock.
My great-grandmother always had chickens when I was young and my sister and I have lots of great memories of collecting eggs with her. I haven't been around chickens since Grandmother died 14 years ago (we've always raised mostly horses), but when my sister found out she was going to have her first child, we knew we needed some chickens!
My perfect niece Addison was born the day before my chicks hatched last week. She was 2 weeks early. My mom figures she didn't want to be beaten by any chickens!
