Hello all, glad to be part of a group who shares our interests. My husband, son and I have been on a new journey since the Ron Paul campaign which includes self sufficiency and preparedness. Our current interests include aquaponics, raw milk, prepping, homeschooling and chickens. We are very new to all but have had a blast learning along the way. Our flock includes 7 hens and 1 rooster. To be honest, I am not sure what kind they are. There is one white leghorn and the rest we bought from a family member. They are not very fancy but they do produce light tan colored eggs. We just purchased 6 new baby chicks from Tractor Supply and boy do they grow fast. I look forward to meeting others in the community as I am sure we have a lot to learn.
