    Hi everyone,

These are my 3 Dominickers and 3 RIR. We got them last Thursday and they told us that they were about a week old. So far they have been a little frightful and curious, jumping out of their box all the time. They are going to get a different brooder tomorrow to keep them in.

I was wandering, how long until they come around to you? Also, How old do they look?

    Many Thanks,

I'm guessing they do look about a couple weeks old. I have some at about that age now- oh maybe a week older, also some a week younger. They will shy away from human contact but keep trying gently to make friends. When they start laying they get friendly and will bow to you (squat). Then it is easy to go pick one up and hold it. But if you keep offering treats to them they will probably be your best buds eventually (although not all chickens like to be held).

Even my flightiest chickens LOVE treats and will be friendly and come up to me but run if I try to catch them.
