Does anyone have some sebastopol goslings for sale? That come from Holderreads stock? Or does anyone know who Holderread sold them to? I would really like to get some!

From my understanding, you might be able to buy juveniles from Holderreads around this time of year. HOWEVER, I don't believe they advertise this because they only have a couple. BUT, CottageRose would get you started in the right direction....send her a message.

Now is not the time for goslings...try March or April of next year.

As far as Holderread's they sold most of their stock to various breeders around the country. I was on their waiting list for another female and was only offered a $175.00, smooth-breasted blue & white one. [IMG] I think they're pretty much out of the Sebastopol breeding business.

I have some from Holderread's line (two I got directly from him) and the others are Metzer Farms (Pips&Peeps) line. You might want to try emailing her and asking. On occasion, she's got some birds for sale.

I'll have hatching eggs next spring.

I am selling lots of started juveniles right now; pairs and ganders only though.

Holderread Sebs were dispersed all over the US.
I don't think any one person got most of them.
I was wondering if he retained any.
I heard that he will "sell out" a breed and then
starts up over again but I think the impression I got
when talking to him is that he and his wife want to
cut back their work load due to their age and Dave's
interest in his Paso Finos, so not sure that he will return to
breeding Sebastopols again, never-the-less there are other
people out their breeding good quality Sebastopols.
Often people will have fall sales of the current year goslings.
Watch the online actions, BYC has one too. You can also post a wanted ad
on the Sebastopol forums classified as well as check the for sale ad's there.
See link below in my signature.
Good luck! I hope you find what you are looking for. [IMG]

I didn't know he had any either until the last time I talked to him
when he mentioned cutting back on his birds so he'd have
    more time for the horses.
I LOVE Peruvian Pasos and looked into getting some at one time.
