I'm listening to Christmas songs and planning the cookies to bake for neighbors & friends and got to wondering...what are some of the holiday traditions others here on BYC have?

DH & I aren't huge gift givers (just little things) and prefer to spend the actual day at home. Weather allowing, we'll see some of my relatives that live close by before or after the big day. Travel here in WY is pretty "iffy" this time of year! We plan a special dinner for Christmas Day, this year it's going to be seafood (shrimp cocktail and crab cakes). Probably spend most the day watching our holiday movies and just enjoying a quiet day together.

What do you all do every year for the holidays?

    Ooohhh! What a great idea!

All of the holidays have been pretty family oriented in my family. We participate in the advent weeks prior to Christmas, usually decorating the week (or a few days) before Christmas. On Christmas Eve we visit some of our nearest relatives, opening a few presents with a each other. Christmas day is very low key, stay at home, kind of day. We just do stuff together as a family, games, movies, listening to music, and eating :)! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the warm, homey Christmas feeling![IMG]

Well we like to dance around the Festivus pole, and then have the feats of strength. [IMG]
