I've noticed that, too, even on here. That's unusual, because most debates on here are civil.

YES! people ARE still nice! Times are really hard, and they all have a lot on their minds. But people are still nice. The people HERE are nice! We have to be careful not to let ourselves be sucked down the gaping hole of a really bad mood. You may run into thirty people who were not rude today, but we don't remember them. We remember the crabby woman who wanted our parking spot. Deep breath and try to be the good you wish to see.
And no, I am not little miss sunshine. Life is really starting to be painful for us, but if I allow it to get me down, then the message that rudeness or self pity or anger is acceptable then it will become ...acceptable. it is infectious.
Go to PBS.org and look for a program called the emotional self. It illuminated a lot about how our brains work. Happiness is contagious, but so is a bad mood.
