There is a male 8 month old 6lbs 5oz Holland Lop available for me. The owner has had the bun for 4 months and is allergic. the bunny is in great shape clean bill of health from the vet and sweet and large for a holland lop but I doubt it is from show stock. [IMG]

    My question is.....
If I am able to get my hands on some large does (new Zealand, Californian, etc) Would it be possible to mate them with this guy for some meat bunnies (I understand they would be smaller than the does breed)? Or would it not be worth my time? I hate to pass up a healthy viral male buck. . .

It has been more difficult than I thought to find large bunnies in Arizona. I did find an English Lop breeder that has young does but I am not sure they would be good for meat ... and those ears! [IMG]

    Thanks - Nikki
