... I should have bought some marans with my shipment this year... LOL [IMG]

Oh and its true, people will pay a ton. I just bought chicks last week, paid 70 bucks for the shipment... I've sold 8 chicks and paid for half the shipment already. Thats twice what I paid per bird.

    lol. Not complaining!

OMG!!! That makes me want to start selling eggs on ebay! Are people just nuts or what? Do they not realize that they can buy live chicks for a LOT less than that? Unbelievable.

I had seen a site somewhere where they were selling duck eggs for eating at $45 a dozen, I don't remember if the hatching were more or less but both prices seemed pretty crazy to me.

Its not all that unusal to see this bid going up that high.....she is a very reputable breeder and some of us here in the BYC knows her well. I personally not into Marans but if it is the best and I HAVE TO have the BEST in USA, then I would bid that high however I dont take risks like that to break the bank LOL!

Some folks wants to get the best stock there is and they will pay anything up to that price.

Its all the Maran's fad going on right now.
