OMG thats huge!!! Did you read this part??

it should be noted that this isn't the biggest hen egg ever.

According to Guinness World Records, that honor went to a 12-inch-long, five-yolker from a farm in Mellor, Lancashire, England, in 1896.

And Guinness gives the prize of "Largest Egg From a Bird Living" to an ostrich that laid an ample, multi-omelet-bearing egg weighing 5 pounds, 11.36 ounces, on a farm in Sweden, owned by Kerstin and Gunnar Sahlin, on May 17, 2008.

How can they relate an ostrich egg to a chicken egg!!??

Wow! That is huge. I had a 3 1/2 inch egg last week, but it was long and narrow. I cracked it open and it was a double yolker. I took a pic with my cell phone, but I don't know how to upload cell pics.
