Hi,i`m Fernand new to chickens.I made a home made incubator it is going for 14 days.I started with 36 eggs but only 24 where fertile.I candled the eggs and the chicks are developing very good, might get some chicks on the weekend i`m so excited hope everything goes good. The only upgrade i have to do to my incubator is install another light ,incase one bulb goes out i will not loose my eggs but the bulbs will have to be smaller.

Cool bator. What method are you using to turn the eggs? From the pic, it looks like you are hand turning?

I need some information, do you have a lid on it? How do you check the Humidity? That looks pretty easy to make, was it?

THE FRONT IS A DOOR AND THE TOP IS A GLASS.I have a pan on the bottom for humidity.I used and old baseboard thermostat so i can adjust the temperature.Real simple to built,my wife didn`t want me to spend 200 for a incubator, lol
