I’m working on making a incubator out of a beverage cooler but can’t get my temps to match up around the fridge. There’s a 2 degree difference from the top of my egg turner to the bottom. I have a bulb up top and a bulb on the bottom both with fans. I’ve tried all different wattages but can’t get a consistent temp throughout the bator any suggestions?

Heat rises so top would naturally be warmer. Maybe try using only one heat source, since you have fans. Another suggestion would be to use dimmer switches so you could fine tune the heat output of light. What is controlling your temperature now. I have suggested this unit to many posts before for multiple applications.

I’ve tried the on heat source I actually started with just the top one then added the bottom. I use a reptile thermostat which is working great for holding the temp it seems to stay within half a degree every time I check.

try slowing the fan speed by running them in series (half voltage). Slower fan blades will help to blend the air rather than pushing the air.
