is there a trick to a clean duck egg

they have a wonderful nest box area, on occassion they will use it. but, mostly not. they just drop em' wherever, then all covered in poo and mud. and are hard to clean !!!!

tell me there is a trick to cleaning em' up !!!!! hahahaha.

Lol. I think the trick is in finding people who appreciate duck eggs for what they are, which is NOT white and clean. My customers all understand that they are getting a high quality product that is naturally less... pristine-looking... than a chicken egg.

Mine do use the nestboxes once they hit maturity... some of the time. But the first several months they drop them wherever and then poop all over them. They're really gross. Keep those nestboxes prepped. Also, add a golf ball--mine never ever used the boxes until I put golf balls in them, and now they use them about 60-80% of the time.
