It will be the night before Christmas, and all through the house Not a creature will be stirring, not even a mouse. The bator is full of eggs to be hatched, I will have checked it twice to be sure it is latched. I placed 12 silkies all snug in their shell, All this waiting will be seem like hell. Anxious and pacing... hoping they hatch, Christmas morning will be a blast. The children will be opening their presents with glee, I will be watching the bator, wishing them free. One pip, one zip, one beak will poke out... Come on babies, you can do it, I will want to shout. The eve will come, and all will be calm, Except for the chirping of the baby in my palm. Wishing all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Pray for my hatch... the Silkies will soon be here.
