It's a cockerel. That copper leakage in its wings are only a male trait.

That's up to you. If you keep him then have to find a home quick that may be hard. Sometimes it's hard to find roosters a home. Unless eating him is an option.

I’ve harvested them before, and I can’t say that I liked it. And there wasn’t much chicken on that chicken... last time craigslist took my rooster. thanks for your help.
