I woke up this morning in a bit of a panic. I had been dreaming and as I woke the dream held on and it took me a few minutes to shake it.

I was dreaming that I had forgotten my chicks where hatching today and I forgot to boost the humidity and stop the turner. (My chicks are due to hatch wednesday.)

    That's not the nightmare.

I also was dreaming I had 25 geese, 25 ducks, 50 guineas, 50 turkeys and a couple hundred chicks hatching the next day and all I had for a brooder was a little rubbermaid tote and a pink 25 watt light bulb.

My heart was racing and I couldn't figure out what I was going to do!

As I woke the panic attack eased but it took a bit to shake that aweful feeling of "What on earth have I done?" LOL

    Can you imagine?!?! LOL [IMG]

It is funny now but I woke up in a cold sweat! Can you imagine having only a small tote and a 25 watt bulb? LOL

I have 6 does and 2 bucklings. I also have carpel tunnel syndrome. Hand milking is my daily nightmare. My hands go completely numb and extremely painful. The doe's won't let anyone else milk them either. My husband tried a few times and was too rough and bruised the teats and they won't let him milk them now. [IMG]

...calm down it was only a dream... contrary to that (NO dream) I recall a member a few years back who had gone overboard on taking advantage of all the sales and had ordered a total of 1200 (no typo there folks, TWELVE HUNDRED) chickies and posted she had no brooders for them ...[IMG]
