Hey all, first time back in a long time. I am getting back into chickens, I just bought my first 4 chicks over the weekend, 2 Rhode Island Reds, 1 Golden Laced Wyandotte and a Buff Orpington. I am in the process of using our old, rusty, straight load horse trailer we had sitting, and turning it into a mobile chicken coop. It needs quite some work, I just finished installing the floor boards. Next would be the ramp doors, and the hay plates. For the most part, it is study, just needs some TLC. Anyone have any photos of a horse trailer they converted for their chickens or ducks? Any ideas on what it should have and not have? Ill post a picture of the trailer when I get a chance.

I agree with aart, need to know where you are in the world to help!

I considered a horse trailer but couldn't find an inexpensive one. I think it would work as a base, then depending on where you live you adjust it to fit your climate and the chickens' needs.
