hot peppers in feed

I need to find a way to keep my beagles from eating the chicken feed. I was wondering about putting hot pepper powder or crushed red pepper in the feed. I know other birds like to eat hot stuff but not sure about chickens.

Chickens like hot pepper too. They don't have any ill effects from the capsicum in them like we do so they don't taste the "hot."
