When I ordered my meat birds they included this chick as an "exotic" extra. Second picture is about 1 week old and first picture was yesterday at about 5 weeks old. Any idea of breed and sex? Trying to figure out if it needs to move to the layer coop or stay with the meat birds for processing later. Thanks!

That looks to be a Partridge Rock. Nice birds and decent layers. Not sure as it is young yet if it is a male or female.

Thank you. The pictures I've found of partridge rock chicks are solid brown. This one was chipmunk marked with dark eyeliner.

How old?? If you put it with meat chicks, they will starve it out - they eat like total pigs

So far it appears to be a pullet, but I really can't see anything regarding breed from this angle. We need some better photos.

A profile pic of the bird standing naturally is best.

Was is MMM hatchery? That can help narrow things down as well, different hatcheries have different breeds.
