HOT Weather = Early hatch?!

Our weather has been brutally hot the last 3 weeks and when I checked my broody's pen this AM for food/water she had a freshly hatched chick under her It's ONLY DAY 18 which means it started pipping yesterday day 17 at some point. Hope it's ok!!

Oh my, that is my worst fear for my broody buff right now . She started sitting on the eggs late on 6/23 but it has been ridiculously HOT until today! I hope yours is doing well, I am thinking I better get set up just in case. Keep me posted!

Well the 1 that hatched seems to be doing well so far. A 2nd pipped but died a d clearly wasnt ready to be hatching yet. Looked like it drowned and hadn't absorbed any yolk yet
