hot weather??

i have 6 new chicks 4 weeks old in a temporary pen its 95+ outside i put a tarp up for shade.Do i need to bring them in the house because of the heat?

Are they showing signs of heat stress??? Panting, holding their wings out to the side to cool off? If they are not stressed, I'd just make sure they have plenty of cold water to drink and shade and leave them be. They have to get used to the heat soon anyway. If they look stressed, then do bring them inside to cool off. Heat will kill them faster than cold.

If they are panting, you need to help them cool off. The shade is a good start. Here are some other things you can do:

Put ice in their drinking water
Freeze water bottles for them to lean on
Fill inexpensive kitty litter pans with water for them to wade in
Give them cold watermelon to snack on
