Yikes!!!!!! They have a little tool called a fence tester...I'd get one if I were you.

I learned the hard way.

Send one of the kids out to check on the chickens. If they start yelling and running, you know it works. If they don't, you know you have some correcting to do. An electric fence that doesn't work is no good to you or your chickens.
