Housing ducks and chickens.

Hi all, I'm doing a favour for a friend of mine by taking his flock of 2 hens and 2 ducks. I'm taking his coop and small run. I'm told that his ducks never sleep in their duck house at his place and they always sleep in their separate run. Will it be ok to put the ducks and chickens in the same coop and run? Thanks

They can stay in the same coop my dad had a few mallards when I was a kid that lived in the coop but ducks can make a water mess and the drakes are really rough when breeding and have been known to hurt and kill hens because they try to breed them. My dad didn't have any issues that way but they are messy and need a water bowl deep enough to dunk their head in

Thanks, their first day together cooped up together has gone fine...no feather plucking on the ducks part, thank God. Two weeks to go until they go home. Wish me luck. And Merry Christmas.
