Love them. They are truley amazing animals. They are incredable smart, and even have a sense of humor. My muscovy drake will walk in front of the tractor when I am mowing the lawn and he wont budge. Then as soon as I shut of the mower to move him he walks away, he does it everytime I mow the lawn.

If you do a search for duck housing lots of threads will come up. Muscovies can be housed in much the same way other ducks are. [IMG]

Quote:I've looked at the threads and saw some cool stuff and have some ideas. But my concern now is if I leave the top of their pen open what are my chances of them flying away?

Simply clip their wings so they can't fly.
You might find some help on my website's Muscovy
and Tips on Raising Waterfowl pages.
I would highly recommend night time shelter
to protect them from predators and severe winter weather.
    Good luck! [IMG]
