I have a shed split in 2 (seperated by chicken wire & nesting boxes)

I have only been doing chickens a couple months (started for eggs) but I like the idea of fresh meat!

can I do meat birds on the other side of chickens I bought for eggs?

I am wondring because they say don't mix the birds because of disease!

Although they would be sepaerated they would be breathing the same air (parts are only separated by wire)

That would be great! The reasons for seperateing the cornishx from others is 1) they poo ALOT!! And this could cause diseases because of the moisture. You will be cleaning them much more often. 2) They grow alot faster than other chicks, and when together at the same age, the smaller "regular size" chicks are likely to get trompled on.
Breathing the same air is not really an issue...inless your chickens have some air born disease.
