Hova-bator 1588 (Genesis) Electronic Thermostat

Mine just blew out and was spewing smoke. Is there any way to fix it that anyone knows of? Or equally valuable, is there any where people know about where people aren't charging stupid prices for them?

How old is it? Can you contact the manufacturer for warranty replacement of the electronics? The price does seem really stupid, I know. I wound up finding mine on eBay for slightly less than the prices retailers ask.

Unfortunately, I bought it from a friend of mine who used it once, and it's been more than a year, I know that. I don't have any of the paperwork, and I think they require that even if I tried to send it back. It's probably about two years old, maybe going on three. It's barely been used, so I'm rather disgruntled.

I have a new 1588 and had a thermostat issue where it would just reset itself to 59 degrees. Called GQF and they sent me a new one free of charge.

I bought mine used for what I thought was a little much but I really like my Hova Bator!
