I'm wanting to do a dry hatch but wondering if my humidity is just to low and will I have to add water? I bought an accurate digital and then a normal thermometer and the hovabator has its own. I'm reading just slightly different in humidity on both.

My humidity is staying between 18%-20% and even with a dry hatch is this to low? I opened the vent hole to see if it might make any difference but won't check til morning. What do you think? Temp is dead on, on all 3 so that is good. Im interested to see what the high/low will be from Overnight.

I would probably keep the humidity above 25% the first 18 days.

    What Dry Incubation implies is….
ONLY adding a small amount of water if Humidity DROPS below 25% and it should NOT go above 45% until day 18 LOCKDOWN, then stop turning and raise humidity to 62-65%

Thank you, I will play with it some more today. Eggs will be here I'm hoping this week, but if not then first week of March. :)

I put a small glass of water next to the turner motor rather than put water in the tray/s. This put me at 40% humidity, a shot glass of water got it to 30%. Also the water added is room temp, not warm or cold.

I like this idea ^ ^ ^ cuz I hate filling those trays.
I'm gonna do this next hatch.
