So we have 5 chickens. 2 Buffs, 1 Easter Egger, 1 golden sexlink and 1 black sexlink. We are consistently getting 7 eggs a day. One day we had 9! How?! I mean I'm not complaining, but should this be a concern? It started out normal with 3-5 eggs a day, then we were pretty consistently seeing 5 and the past 2 weeks it's gone crazy!

Some chickens have a faster time with their eggs. There have been times I have gotten 6 eggs in one day. And I had 4 chickens. Most chickens take 24 hours to reproduce another egg. Dont be worried. Just enjoy the fast production rate!

  3. Your Birds must be young pullets? It will even out once they get older....Never complain about more eggs!

    Cheers!

Yea they're 7 or 8 months old. It's awesome! I have nearly 5 dozen eggs at the moment, just unexpected haha. Whichever one is laying the dark brown eggs often gives double yolkers too.
