Sheesh! Good by winter, hello summer! It got to 120 degrees with the heat index here in good 'ole Southside, Virginia yesterday. [IMG] I'm not sure what it got to today. All I know is that I spent the entire afternoon out in it watching my boys play baseball and now have a horrible headache! How about everyone else? Hot weather yet???

yup!...we're dying here in went from like 60's to 90's like over night!...[IMG]....i'm actually worried about my Saint Bernard...i still cant get him to cool down....and he's been inside most of the day(except to go out to go potty),..this is his first summer..and i think i'm gonna have to be extra careful with him and getting over heated very easily....i'm putting cold towles on in his on him...but he's still panting away....and kinda lethargic(more than his usual lazy self) fingers crossed he cools down soon...and its very humid !..THATS what makes the heat so unbearable...Wendy

Yep, hot, hot, hot in PA too. We have window ACs that have not been put in yet for the season.

I think I am going to wimp out and bump that to the top of DH's priority list in the AM.

I don't know how I am going to sleep tonight. I am such a wimp!

Quote:I remember when my nextdoor neighbors' newfoundland was a puppy she had them really worried her first summer too. She was lethargic and more lazy than usual too. She would go out in the yard and lay under the deck all day. She spent her days in the basement where it was cooler. They did (do) what you are doing, just made her as comfortable as possible and she seems to be doing just fine. She definitely prefers the cooler weather though. I'm with her!
