how can i get my bantams to get more broody and lay and sit eggs??

    My wheaten old english have not been laying eggs, they have only laid 2 since i got them and i have had them since april 16th, I tried putting a few eggs in a nest for them to try and sit them, but they dont seem to care, what should I do???

    You can't make a hen go broody. Doesn't work that way. They would have to be laying almost daily before they would go broody. Sounds like you may have some older hens... perhaps if you got younger ones, they'd be more likely to go broody.

    yah, im going to let my older more broody hens sit their eggs when they start laying some more, thanks!

    Well I know one thing you can't make a hen go broody even if she is laying more,laying more won't make her broody/sit either.
