how cold is too cold for 4 week old chicks to be outside without a lamp on at night?
its gettin hoter and i think they shoulfd be fine at night.....its like in the 60s-70s at night.....and they have a roost and there is 4 of the lil chicks and they all have feathers so shouldnt they generate their own heat and be fine?
i need to know and its starting to get dark....
I'm up in Canada and took my chicks off the light at 4 weeks, that was about a week ago now, maybe a little more. Your chicks will be fine
Quote:ya but how cold was it at night???
38-45 degrees until the last two nights, now it's staying in the upper sixty range, believe me they will be fine:>) At four weeks they can snuggle together for warmth.
