I had some bantam Wyandottes hatch today and one of them seems to be partridge or something which is entirely impossible with my cross. The mother and father are both blue and I owned both of their parents as well and they were both blue. I thought from a blueXblue I would get 50% blue, 25% black, 25% splash and this has been my experience in the past.
This is the hen, I don't have any other pictures of her right now because she just hatched the chicks and I didn't want to stress her.

This is the rooster. As he has gotten older he has gotten more brown feathers over his back. I have just assumed this was from being lower quality? Could he have some other gene going on here.

This is the father of both the parents. He has less brown than his son.

Here are the chicks that hatched. I am guessing 2 blues, 2 splash, 1 black, and one something?

Any ideas what this mystery chick is going to look like and how it happened?

The males definitely carry something other than blue. That much discoloration isn't due to simple red or gold leakage, or even sun bleaching. Also, their legs do not look to be yellow?
