how do i combine young birds and old birds into the same cage?

I have 2- month old (males?)Coturnix and 2-1 yr.old( females) Coturnix . i want to have all 4 birds in the same 3 ft. x 6ft. cage . What is the best and safest way to do this?

Move all of them into a new cage at the same time, then when they are used to each other move them into the cage you want.
