I have no clue what to feed chicks or if their is a different way you need to feed them. Apparently their are some foods that are bad especially in the AZ heat. If you have any other tips tell me, anything helps.

Did you buy chicks on impulse? Where from and how many?

You need chick feed, found at feed stores. A chick waterer for water. A safe brooder and a heat source. The brooder has to be at least 90°F for the first week, lowered 5°F every week.

  5. Also, the 3rd week you should add some chick grit to their feed--just sprinkle a little on the top of their food, about like you'd lightly salt your food.

I use a quart size chick feeder and Start and Grow feed, medicated for the first 10 weeks. My chicks aren't vaccinated for Coccidiosis. And a quart size waterer. 20180821_081938.jpg . GC

  8. Warning, if your chicks are vaccinated for coccidiosis, do not feed medicated feed

That's gamebird starter, not chick starter, just fyi. The chick starter from Dumer is 20% protein.

I don't see where it says "gamebird" on the chick feed, but I thought the 24 percent protein on the DuMor bag seemed high.
