I recently saw a picture of a red barred bird, and I thought it was the coolest thing since nachos, so how would i go about breeding some of these?

To get red barring, you need a "red" bird (having both gold and mahogany genes) and a barred bird. Cross those two, then cross the barred offspring back to a red bird, and from there you'll get a small percentage, brought through generations to a 100% breeding of red barring.

Basically you need a red columbian bird with barring.
