    Hi All,

This looks like a great site. I didn't realize there was so much interest! I'm doing research on raising chickens and literally stumbled onto this site googling for guidance on raising chickens. My interest is eggs - of course.
I live in the heart of the city in Lee County, Florida and my first and most challenging is tracking down the ordinance that specifies whether or not we can even have chickens in the city. I've searched all through our city website and I've not been able to find the information I'm looking for.
I've added this site to My Favorites hoping that I'll be able to visit for guidance once I find out whether or not I can keep chickens. I plan to keep visiting the site even if I find out that I'm not allowed to keep chickens. Wish me luck!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock when they arrive, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out [IMG]
