I am concerned because 2 of my chicks (age 3 months) seem to have swollen necks or they are purposely making their feathers arranged to make the neck look larger as some kind of dominance thing. I have noticed that they are at the age where they are fighting in the run for dominance and the pecking order to be resolved. If anyone has pictures of impacted crop it would be helpful. Any other advice would be helpful.

An impacted crop will feel hard to the touch, like a hard ball. It will not go down overnight; at night, most chickens have large crops, but the crop goes down by morning. If at any time a crop doesn't empty overnight, the bird may have an impacted crop.
