How do I tell if the cat is pregnant or not???

You could keep the kittens together after you speuter them. Cats raised together have a special bond, it can be sweet. My sister did that with a litter her cat had on accident and she has loved them all and they all get along great. They all look like the mama cat though so it is hard for visitors to tell them apart!

I would not handle them at all unless you have to for the first week after that you should be good to go.

I would put the momma in a big crate or in some kind of room to make sure she has them in there....I believe 61-63 days they carry them.

Also about the male cat if it does not belong to anyone it is a stray you can't have multiple owners....either split the cost or neutering him between the three of you talk to them to see if they are willing to help split the cost or trap him and just do it yourself if you don't mind paying if it is worth it to you.....any wild cats I don't want here it is not worth having them here to me so they will be trapped and taken to shelter.

Check for very pink nipples! Kittens are great but one soon turns to many if you don't get them neutered. I have 3 big cats , I added "Jenny" in august 08, she had 6 kittens in Aug 09, they were born under a wood pile and we had to dig them out! I found them all homes but didn't get round to taking her to the vet and she's just had another 2! This time she kept going under my bed and into the wardrobe, so I kept moving her to the cat bed and she ended up giving birth there no problem. They tend to go for dark spaces to nest.

Easy: go get her spayed now, and they can tell you after the fact if there were kittens in there or not.

If there are kittens in there I wouldnt be able to live with myself. My strong pro-life upbringing carries over to our animals. I wont allow DH to cause a cow to abort nor will I allow him to butcher a bred cow.

I remember when I was little my mom taking our pregnant cat and having her spayed. I was to ticked at her for it. Your cat sounds prego to me. Just take her for a spay once you find the kittens homes.

I think my local low-cost clinic charges $15-$20 for a pregnant animal. I'd rather euthanize unborn kittens than the ones sitting in a shelter already waiting for a home.

How are they any different than those that have already been born?

Again...personal reasons separate all individuals and no one answer is the right path.

Maybe $15-20 extra above the initial spaying cost for the momma cat.
