How do you build a safe hen nest?

This is my first time on building a hen house using mspaint. How safe is it for the hen to sit on her new home?

Is that just the nesting box? The nesting box should be safe no matter how you build it as long as you provide enough room and make sure your entire coop is predator proof. People use all kinds of things for nesting boxes, such as milk crates, buckets, plastic tubs, etc.
