How do you determine prices to ship birds?

    I have been shipping a few batches of chicks and older birds but always have problems finding how much it costs to ship them which delays me a lot. Is there a rate of (for example) $4 a pound for shipping a live bird? Is there a flat rate for chicks? What about adults. I never know the price until I am at the post office about to ship them off which is a pain for me and anyone buying. Help would be greatly appreciated!

    Yes, I use the approved boxes you have in the link. Do they have the rates listed on the site? Still browsing it at the moment. Haven't found the prices yet.

    Here's a link to the Postal Service website. Thare are shipping price calculators for the various different services. You can also pay for & print shipping labels there which actually save you a little on postage.
