how do you get a speckledy

    just wondering what you cross to get these ...

    I think it is a cucco maran

    but with?

    You'll need to elaborate. By speckledy do you mean spangled (white w/black dots) splash (white with grey and black feathers) silver laced (each feather is white with black lacing) barred (each feather is striped) - Or something else?

    Is the Cuckoo Marans what you're asking of to make or to use as a parent?

    black and white striped like a cucco maran with a red tent... I am asking for a friend ... I have been on here before just been awhile

    Most UK sites say it is a Rhode Island Red/ Cuckoo Marans hybrid.

    it looks like a cucco maran hen with a red tent to the feathers .... I am asking about this for a friend of mine ...

    Well then in that case, all you need is a Cuckoo Marans hen and a red colored rooster. Could be a red Sussex, a Rhode Island Red, whatever.

    I have BCM x RiR hen cross few days old chicks. Will see how they turn out next spring.
