How do you say Wyandotte???
say whine and then dot i used to live in detroit and wyandotte michigan is there in the suburbs i think that actually has some thing to do with the chickens name that town

people in michigan that are from there dont say it like that, lol its wine dot, lol
i know you are all correct with the way its supposed to be said, lol no one in that town says it like that, lolfg
wine-dot I have a friend that breeds these. He taught me how to pronounce it.....I totally murdered it LOL.
I will tell you with 100% authority that any english breed of chicken, sheep or cow will not be pronounced properly here in the US.
My mother was born in Herefordshire. The cows from there are Herefords.
But, go to any breeder here in the US and they say "Her-ferds". It drives me crazy!!
