how do you pronounce wyandotte?

    Not sure but I have a wyandotte bantam hen named, Molly . She is my favorite girl and is very sweet.

    I'm pretty sure that's the way it's said. At least, that's the way I've always said it.

    Oh gosh...ive been pronouncing it why-na-dotts. I never did good on those darn spelling tests...LOL

    according to dictionary.com, its pronounced "wahy-uhn-dot"
    but who knows, they could be wrong

    YAY......looks like I am getting this one right (according to austinhart's dictionary pronunciation, anyway) but I ALWAYS have trouble with chicken names. Just found out I was saying "Campine" wrong and I refuse to say "Leggern" for My Leghorns.....so I just call them my "Fluff and Puff" chickens (their names). I think these things need to be easier!!!! LOL
