Not sure but I have a wyandotte bantam hen named, Molly . She is my favorite girl and is very sweet.
I'm pretty sure that's the way it's said. At least, that's the way I've always said it.
I thought it was why an dote but we just call them "windups" here.
I have heard it pronounced WineDot here
Oh gosh...ive been pronouncing it why-na-dotts. I never did good on those darn spelling tests...LOL
according to dictionary.com, its pronounced "wahy-uhn-dot"
but who knows, they could be wrong
YAY......looks like I am getting this one right (according to austinhart's dictionary pronunciation, anyway) but I ALWAYS have trouble with chicken names. Just found out I was saying "Campine" wrong and I refuse to say "Leggern" for My Leghorns.....so I just call them my "Fluff and Puff" chickens (their names). I think these things need to be easier!!!! LOL
