I'm up late tonight,my 6yr old Ringneck pheasant(General Lee)..is dying,he lived a wonderful life,I raised him from a baby,I want to thank him for protecting his hen Lucy throughout the years, for screaming everytime I came home, for loving his offspring, for staying "wild" ...Thank you for giving us five new babies this August(wer're keeping all of them)
I could never pet him before tonight...I stroked his soft feathers, told him it okay to go... he lived a great life and he's going to die like a gentleman...in a warm bed with his favorite foods and knowing he was loved.
