How do you sex day old RIR chics ??? Any help is greatly appreciated

How do you sex them ??? Rhode Island Reds ??

Not reliably at all as day olds. There are old documents that say females often have a dark stripe down the head, but I dont think that is foolproof or even all that reliable. It probably refers to pure RIRs, the old fashioned types, not production types.

all of mine girls from ideal have some type of spot or stripe on the head.
