How do you tell if an egg is spoiled????????????

I have free range chickens and most of them lay eggs in the nesting boxes. I have been getting about 18 eggs a day out of about 23 hens. I just found a nest that they have been using outside of the coop with about 2 dozen eggs in it, but don't know if I should just throw them out or what. Any Help?????

you can put it in water and if it floats it is spoiled
