We have 11 RIR and 4 White Leghorn hens. How early can they start laying? Right now, we have 7 roosters in the coop with them and, from what I've read, they seem to be trying to mate with the hens. They bite the back of the hens necks at the base of it and hold on to them for a few seconds and then let go. Right now, all of the chickens are 14 weeks old. Is there anyway of telling when they might start laying?
